Optical fiber jumper: used to make the jumper wire from the equipment to the optical fiber wiring link. There is a thicker protective layer, which is generally used for the connection between the optical transceiver and the terminal box.
Optical fiber pigtail: only one end has a connector, and the other end is a broken end of an optical fiber core, which is connected to other optical fiber cores through fusion splicing. It often appears in the optical fiber terminal box and is used to connect the optical cable and the optical transceiver (of Couplers, jumpers, etc. are also used in between).
The difference in the use of the two: the jumper is to connect the pigtail to the terminal equipment, and the pigtail is to connect the optical cable and the jumper.
The difference in appearance between the two: only one end of the pigtail is an active connector, and both ends of the jumper are active connectors. There are many interfaces, and different interfaces require different couplers. The jumper is divided into two and can be used as a pigtail.
Optical fiber connector: It is also a very important part of optical fiber knowledge. Generally, it can be divided into FC, SC, ST, LC, D4, DIN, MU, MT, etc. according to the structure of the connector.

If it is used to connect two optical fiber connectors of the same type (such as ST/ST SC/SC, etc.), it is called a coupler. If it is used to connect two different types of optical fiber connectors (such as ST/LC SC/LC), it is called an adapter.
