Dell'Oro's latest report shows that the global broadband access equipment market revenue will increase to US$4.7 billion in the third quarter of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 17%. Spending on PON equipment continues to drive the overall market, with PON OLT revenue breaking the previous quarter's record of $1.3 billion this quarter.

Dell'Oro pointed out that the total global PON equipment revenue in the third quarter increased by 27% year-on-year, marking the tenth consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth in this market.

"Investment in new fiber broadband networks and equipment continues to grow due to a strong competitive environment and ongoing subsidy efforts, and we will be watching to see if this momentum and resilience continues into the fourth quarter and into 2023, given macroeconomic headwinds. said Jeff Heynen, vice president of Dell'Oro.
