WiFi7 Will Enter The Stage Of Large-scale Commercial Use in The Second Half Of 2024

WiFi7 will enter the stage of large-scale commercial use in the second half of 2024

Recently, USI held an investor exchange event, introduced the company's business expectations for the next year and the next, and talked about the future development space and development trend of SIP.

USI said that next year, the company's business growth in non-SiP is expected to continue to maintain a good momentum, especially in automotive electronics. In terms of SiP, the company actively expands business opportunities for new customers, and the shipment of WiFi modules has grown significantly this year. In the future, the new generation of communication technologies, such as WiFi6E, WiFi7, 6G, low-orbit satellites, etc., will greatly increase the demand for SiP communication modules in smartphones (including Android systems). SiP modules are used in watches, wristbands, VR/AR, etc. The application in the field of smart wear will also become more and more common. Therefore, SiP applications are about to usher in the "explosion point" of "a hundred flowers blooming".

Judging from the current composition of the entire SiP market, large customers still occupy the vast majority of the market share. The most anticipated application growth in the next few years will be in AR/VR. The SiP module's "light, thin, short", "low power consumption" and "high reliability" features are very suitable for AR/VR related headsets and glasses products. USI has shipped a small amount of AR/VR related SiP products this year.

Secondly, the demand for WiFi6 and WiFi6E other than major customers is growing rapidly, and WiFi7 modules are already under research and development. It is expected that in the second half of 2024, WiFi7 will enter the stage of large-scale commercial use, the cost advantage of SiP modules will be reflected, and Android mobile phones will also bring a large number of new orders.
