Headend focuses on the control and management of the cable TV system and is able to send signals to specific users to change their service levels. In a large cable TV system, multiple hub sites are connected to the main headend through transmission links (such as optical fiber, coaxial cable trunk or microwave).
Application:
Hubs are mainly used in local area networks (LANs), but with the development of technology, their application has gradually decreased.
